| This page was created by students at
Floresville Elementary in Floresville, Texas. We started working on the page last
fall after a field trip to the Institue of Texan Cultures in San Antonio, Texas. The
first thing we did was brainstorm everything we wanted our page to include - we had a very
long list. After that we started our research; most of the research was from talking
to people and visiting places. We also collected many books on cultures. This
page was difficult to design because there was so much information and we had to narrow
our topic down. Many people helped us with our project. Mrs. Johns, our school music teacher, played all the music for us. She was also kind enough to allow us to interview her about folk music. Mr. Anderson was the architect in Rhode Island who provided us with a great deal of information. We also sent interview questions to other people across Texas about the heritage. An art teacher in Bryan, Texas made us the paper cuts we used, and information on folk arts. One of our fourth grade teachers gave us the copy of a letter from her Swiss ancestor. Our coaches, Mrs. Berger and Ms. Rylander stayed after us daily to keep up the work and helped us learn new web design skills. |

| Hi, I am TJ, as you can see I am the only boy(oh well) and I was excited when I got selected to be in think quest. I like Pokémon and I also collect the cards and I have the games. I am ten years old and I don't have any pets. I am Polish, German, French (I think), and of course American. I go to school at Floresville Elementary in room 410 with Mrs.W. I like to play on my Gameboy and go to my friends' houses. |

| Hi, my name is Kelsey. I am 10 and am in the fourth grade at Floresville Elementary. I am Polish, German, Czech, and I have a little bit of Irish in me. I have been dancing for seven years with the Erin Jones School of Dance and I have been taking piano lessons seven months with my teacher, Mrs. Mac. I like to ride my bike, read, talk on the phone with my friends and play with them, swim,and surf the internet. I collect charms for my charm bracelet. My favorite colors are green and blue. I was very proud of myself and excited when I was selected for the Thinkquest team. I would like to thank my coaches, Ms. Rylander and Mrs. Berger and all my teamates for all the help and coroporation from them. I would also like to thank my parents for letting me be on the Thinkquest team and for the help with my research. |

| Hi, my name is Chelsea and I'm 10 years old and in the 4th grade at Floresville Elementary. I'm Welsh, Irish, Polish, and Czech. I have been in dancing with the Erin Jones School of Dance for 3 years and I have been taking piano for 9 months. I love to read, collect charms, swim, play with my dogs, and talk on the phone. My friends are Sarah, Maegan, Kaylin, T.J., both Kelseys, Taylor, Lauren, both Clarissas, Lydia, and Courtney. I was very proud of myself and excited when I was selected for the Thinkquest team. I would like to thank my coaches, Ms. Rylander and Mrs. Berger and my teamates for all their coporation and help for them. I would also like to thank my parents for letting me be on the Thinkquest team and helping me with my research. |

| Hi! My name is Maegan and I am ten years old. I go to school at Floresville Elementary and my favorite subjects is lunch, recess, and P.E. I like to swim, play sports, and read. I like to watch Pokémon and collect the cards. I used to be in karate with one of my classmates. My friends are T.J., Kaylin, Chelsea, Kevin, both Kelseys, well that is just a couple of them. I am very greatful for being part of the Thinkquest Jr. team. I have to thank my coaches Mrs. Berger and Ms. Rylander. I would also like to thank my teamates and parents for helping me with this project. |

| Hi! My name is Kelsey and I'm 10 years old. I live by a dairy farm, and have lots of cows! I'm German, Polish, Irish. I have 2 brothers and a Mom and a Dad. Sometimes I like to work on the farm with my Dad. When I do work on the farm I feed the cows and let them lick on my hand. Our farm just turned 100 in October. At home they call me Pumpken or Sunshine. I go to school at Floresville Elmentary in fourth grade. I been in dancing class with Erin Jones for 2 years. My favorite subjects are Math, P.E., and lunch. I like to swim amd ride my bike. My favorite colors is green and blue. My friends are Kelsey, Taylor, Jay, Sarah, Chelsea, T.J., Maegan ,and Clarissa. I like to play with my friends. I have a dog and a fish. I love to go to the mall and shop, collect charms, and talk on the phone for hours. I'm so glad to be in Thinkquest Team. I would like to thank my coaches Ms. Rylander and Mrs.Berger and my Mom and Dad for all the help and time for me. |

| Hi! My name is Katie Berger and I'm in my sixth and final year in Floresville Elementary. I enjoy listing to music, reading, writing short stories, surfing the web on my computer, making web pages with my mom, and going to San Antonio Spur's games. I am a season ticket holder and have not missed a game this season. I am in Mr. V's homeroom and am looking forward to field day. I hang out with my friends after school in my mom's class room.
