Tusks


Most  wooly mammoths'  tusks were the size of a small canoe (9 ft). Big wooly mammoths' tusks were about 15 feet long! 
The tusks were useful for digging through snow to get grass and tundra plants.

Trunk


The mammoth trunks were shorter than the modern elephants. Mammoth trunk tips were in two, useful for collecting plants food.The modern elephants, in contrast, prefer a tree leaf diet, and their trunk tips are of unequal size.

Fur

The mammoth was covered with long, thick, brown hair. They had the big long thick hair too keep them warm in the icey cold weather.
