This site gives you information about the museum, and shows you some examples of different art, including American and European art.

The Louvre:
The site for one of the most famous museums in the world. It gives you information about the museum, and lets you travel through some of their galleries. The site is in French, but you can swith it to English when you first go in. Also, parts of the site require Quick Time Virtual Reality software to see images. You can download this software from their site.

Metropolitan Museum of Art:
This site has a great online collection of paintings that you can view, 37 Monets as part of the European collection.

Museum of Modern Art:
The site for this museum has some examples of art, including Van Gogh's The Starry Night and Rousseau's The Dream.

This is a great site that has a special section for kids. You can see artwork done by other kids, plus there is some online art that you can create yourself!

Philadelphia Museum of Art:
This site gives you information about the museum, and gives you some information about their special exhibilts. There is not a lot of on-line art on their page.

Smithsonian - National Gallery of Art:
This site provides general information about the museum, and has samples of art from the museum, including Picasso, Pollock, Warhol, and Monet.

WebMuseum:
This is a great web site! It is full of online art exhibits. There is an artist index and a themes index, which you can select and then see art done by the artist you selected. It is a great way to see art by a lot of different artists online. When you go into this site, click on the Web Museum Network to go to a host that is close to you. This will speed up your access to the site.
