Lizzie's Biography

Hi!  My name is Lizzie and I'm 10 years old, but I'll be 11 in June.  I live in San Diego, California and attend Canyon View Elementary School.  I am in the fifth grade.  My favorite subject is history (sometimes called Social Studies).  My best subject is writing.  My hobbies and interests include swimming, anything tied in with art, writing stories, and reading.  My favorite book is The Black Pearl by Scott O'Dell (who is also my favorite author).  My favorite illustrator is Dr. Seuss for his figurative drawings.  I am excited to be in the ThinkQuest Junior competition because I am learning a lot about building a website and how to program in HTML.  I love the topic of our site because reading and writing are some of the things I love to do best.  I am learning a lot just by working on this site and I really hope that you have learned from our site, too.  Here is a poem I wrote about myself, thanks for visiting our site!

Who are you?  I am Lizzie.

Sometimes I get really busy.

Freckles and dark, brown eyes.

Never in a hurry to say "good-byes".

In dodge ball I like to dart,

And one of my  hobbies is doing art.

Green is my favorite color to wear.

And I just graduated from D.A.R.E.

I like to sing, it is very fun,

And now my poem is almost done!

I play roller hockey and I skate pretty fast,

Playing with my dog, Lady, is a blast.

It's cool being me, as you can plainly see,

But who are you?
