GHOST is a great word game to play in the car, sitting around the dinner table, or just about anywhere. It can be played with two or more players, the more players the better! One player goes first and has an idea of the word they want to spell. They only announce the first letter. The play moves in clockwise fashion to the next player. The next player is also thinking of a word to spell using the first letter that has already been given. That player announces the second letter. It continues to all players until a word has been spelled. The player who ends by spelling a complete word gets a "G". That player begins the next round. Once a player gets all of the letters in GHOST, they are out of the game. The game ends when all but one player remains and that player is the winner. This is a fun game because you never know what the words will end up as.
Example:
Player 1: h Player 2: o Player 3: r Player 4: i
Player 1: z Player 2: o Player 3: n
The word spelled is horizon. Player 3 gets a "G" in this round and the game continues. Player 1 was originally thinking of the word "horse", but Player 4 changed the word to what they were thinking. It's fun, don't you think?
