MadLibs are fill in the blank stories, but the trick is, you don't know what the story is! You know you have a type of word, like a noun or a verb, but that's all you know. You're given a numbered list that says noun, verb, adjective, part of body, and other things like that. Once you've filled in all the blanks, you read the story with the words you've chosen.
MadLibs are fun to do wherever you are. You can buy all different kinds of MadLibs from books stores, or you can get them directly from the publisher! You can also make your own! Here is how:
Write a short story. Go back and blank out 10 to 15 words.
Label under each blank: noun, adjective, verb, sport, color, etc.
Ask a friend to fill in the blanks without reading the story.
Then together, read the story and have a good laugh.
If you think that it is funny, try making up other stories and let your friends read them so they can laugh and try to make some Mad Libs too.
If you don’t like making up stories, you can find Mad Libs in the bookstore.
