Players: How ever many you want
Supplies: A pencil and a piece of paper
First, you draw or print out the copy of a Hanging Platform shown at the bottom
of this page.
Write the letters of the alphabet.
Then you think of a word in your
head. Do not tell your opponent your word.
For example, you might choose "basket" as your secret word.
You then put a line for each letter,
like basket would be _ _ _ _ _ _.
Then you start the game.
The first thing that happens is the opponent picks one of the 26 letters.
Cross out the letter of the alphabet that he guesses.
If you had the word "basket" and your opponent guessed the letter
g, which is not in your word, he gets penalized by having to draw a head on
the hanging platform.
For every wrong guess he has to draw a body part till he has drawn them all.
When he has all the body parts drawn, he loses.
The number of body parts you draw should be decided before you start the game.
You might want to just draw a few - like the head, the body, the arms and the
legs. Or if you have a really hard word, you can decide to add the neck, hands,
feet, eyes, mouth and nose.
For every correct guess you fill in the line with the letter he guessed.
He wins when he gets the word right with all of his guesses or he guesses
the word before filling in all of the blanks.
The only thing is, if he gets a full hangman before he gets the word, the person
who thought of the word wins.
