Butter’s Amazing Adventure

"What a beautiful day," I thought excitedly! Excuse me, but let me introduce myself, I am Butter, the Queen of all Butterflies! I am a yellow and black rare butterfly. Also, I am from a royal family, so obviously I am the Queen. Anyway, on with the story! I was flying around and then saw two boys holding a net. "Oh no, what if they catch me," I said to myself, "I must alert the others." While I was about to go when I heard the two boys start talking. Naturally, I eavesdropped because they were are enemies! "What did your mom pack us for lunch," asked Sam loudly. His voice disturbed the silence. "Shhhhhh, don’t shout! That will scare all the butterflies," whispered Robert. Sam grumpily said, "Okay, okay, okay, but why are you so concerned about scaring the butterflies?" "I just want to give about three perfect butterflies to my mom! You know it is going to be her birthday, soon," answered Robert in a normal voice. "Well, we better start looking," whispered Sam. "Wait, did you see that butterfly," asked Robert. "I didn’t see any butterfly," answered Sam. As you can guess, I played a trick on those two boys. Suddenly, all the horrible ifs’ came to me. "What if I get caught, what if I break my wing, if I do, what will happen to me?" I thought. I made a decision to alert the others that there were two boys with a net. When I found all of my 20 royal messengers, I told them to give all butterflies this message: Stay home until tomorrow, there are two boys with a net! Further notice will be sent! I said, "Be careful all of you, and deliver the message to all butterflies. Ask the rabbits and squirrels to help you!" With that sentence in mind, all of my messengers flew off with a steady pace. I watched them disappear through the dense forest. I thought, "Now, it’s my turn to help!" I flew off and went to my friend, Slither, the rattlesnake. You would think that rattlesnakes are all vicious and mean, but Slither is not!. Once you get to know Slither, he can be nice and caring. Only, to his or his friends' enemy, he can be vicious! I rushed over to Slither and told him the plan and he hissed, "That is the most wonderful idea. I am glad to help!" We went to the place where the two boys were having a picnic. I hid among the bushes. I whispered "1, 2, 3!" "Look, there’s a butterfly!" whispered Robert happily. I flew and curiously hovered over the net and case. "Whew, there are no butterflies caught," I thought. I fluttered over to a clump of shrubs and backed off. "Is that a rattlesnake?" asked Robert urgently. "Yes, run for your lives!" answered Sam. The two boys left there net and ran. When they were out of sight, Slither and I laughed until we couldn’t breathe. "We scared them out of their pants," exclaimed Slither. "I know!" I said happily. I hope you learned something from this story. Anyone who hasn’t here is a hint: Always take in action when something horrible comes up! The End
