Title: The Trumpet of the Swans

List of Characters and a Description of Each: Louis (a Trumpeter Swan who can't make a sound), Sam (a boy who helps Louis), and Serena (another Trumpeter Swan who Louis loves).
Plot: Louis cannot make a sound like his brothers and sisters can, so Serena pays no attention to him. Sam takes Louis to school. While there Louis learns to read and write, but Serena still pays no attention to him. One day Louis's father comes home with a brass trumpet for Louis. Louis, with Sam's help, learns to play the trumpet really well. Instead of migrating with his flock he stays with Sam to practice his trumpet. When his flock comes home Louis wins Serena's affection and love.
Did you enjoy this book? Yes, I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed it because it was interesting to read about a trumpet-playing swan and I liked reading about how he tried to win Serena's heart. I recommend this book to whomever is looking for a good book to read.
