Title: The Secret of Sarah Revere
Author: Ann Rinaldi
List of Characters and a Description of Each: Sarah Revere (an adventurous thirteen-year girl), Paul Revere (Sarah's father who is very patriotic), Dr. Joseph Warren (who takes care of Sarah and her stepmother while her father is gone), and Rachel (Sarah's stepmother who is very nice).
Plot: Sarah's father keeps going away and is out frequently. Mr. Warren is close to the Revere family and watches over them while Mr. Revere is gone. Mr. Revere and Mr. Warren are called to fight in the Revolutionary War. Paul Revere realizes that what is important to him is his family. When he goes back to them he finds out his baby son has died. Rachel has another baby son. Sarah decides that she must teach him what she has learned.
Did you enjoy this book? I enjoyed this book a lot. I enjoyed it because I like reading about colonial people and events that take place during that time period. I thought it was exciting . . . yes, I enjoyed this book a lot!
