What was the story about?

Jacob's Rescue is about a boy who was living a peaceful life as a Jew, but all of a sudden things are changing. First Jacob has to live in an apartment with his aunt and grandmother, then he is sent to live with a family he doesn't even know. His aunt tells him that the family he will be living with is very kind and is taking him into hiding from the Nazi soldiers who are looking for Jews and putting them into concentration camps. While Jacob is hiding in the Roslan's home, Nazi soldiers come into the house to check for any Jews that could be hiding. One day, Jacob gets sick and must see a doctor immediately before he gets even worse or dies. The Roslans hide Jacob in an old couch while on the way to the doctor. The doctor says he needs plenty of light and cannot be let outside. Keeping Jacob a secret is hard for the Roslan family, because every day someone might find out they are hiding a Jew and might be turned in to the Police. That would cost them Jacob's life and their own. Jacob is finally sent to America with the Rosans and is safe from the Nazis and Hitler.
