THE TWO TOWERS
Author: J.R.R. Tolkien
Characters:
Frodo: Bilbo's cousin.
Sam: Frodo's servant.
Summary:
This is the story of how Frodo goes to Mordor delivering the ring to its destruction
(or that was what his mission was). In this mission he and Sam break away
from the other people of their group. The story tells of the danger and how
they take Gollum as their guide. Gollum was the ringbearer before Bilbo. Gollum
seems to turn to their side and guides them to a secret way into Mordor. This
is what they think until they find out he just took them to Mordor to his master,
for her to eat them. He thinks when they die that he will get the ring back.
Sam puts up a vicious fight against the big spider and makes it back away into
its cave. Sam, thinking that Frodo is dead from the spider's poison, takes the
ring and is going to leave Frodo's body to lie when he hears Orcs. He puts on
the ring and becomes invisible. The orcs take the body and are bringing it to
their tower. Sam overhears that Frodo is not dead and runs to catch up but the
doors close right when he gets there.
