Hans Christian Anderson Medal

The Hans Christian Anderson Medal is an international award given by the International Board on Books for Young People.  It was established in 1956.  The award is given every two years to one author and one illustrator.  The award recognizes an entire body of work for that author and illustrator.  The award recipients from most recent to oldest are as follows:
