Applegate
Biography
K.A. Applegate was born in Michigan in 1956. She has lived in Texas, Florida, California and Minnesota. All her life she has loved animals and that's how she got the idea for the Animorphs series. Like most people, K.A. Applegate had a childhood dream. She wanted to become a veterinarian or a writer. In High School, part of her dream came true when she got to work for a Veterinarian. Now she is a writer, so that part of her dream has also come true. Some of the jobs she has had are: typist, waitress and taking care of plants. It isn't that easy for K.A. Applegate to write her books. She has to do a lot of research about animals to write her books. Other than writing she is an amateur cellist. K.A. Applegate likes to garden, travel and read, too.
