MERCURY
The Romans named Mercury after the fleet-footed messenger of the Gods because it seemed to move more quickly than any other planet. It is the closest planet to the sun, and second smallest planet in the Solar System.

Mercury is marked with great curved cliffs or lobate scraps that were apparently formed as Mercury cooled and shrank a few kilometers in size . This shrinking produces a wrinkled crust with scrapskilometers high and hundreds of kilometers long. Mercury is a small, rocky planet-much like our moon.
