Venus is the sixth largest planet and the second from the sun. With the expecption of the Sun and Moon, Venus is the brighest of all planets. Venus has many phases that you can view with a telescope. Mariner two was the first to visit Venus in 1962. Venus' rotation is very slow. Venus is sometimes called Earths' sister. Venus probably once had large amounts of water but it now is quite dry. The surface of Venus has gently rolling plains with little relief. Venus has no small craters . The interior of Venus is thought to be very similar to that of Earth. Venus has no satellites.
