The Egyptians believed in many different gods. These are some of them...

    Osiris was The King and Judge of the Dead. He was thought to be the symbol of eternal life. 
    Amun was another important god. He was god of the wind, air and fertility. He was King of The Gods. Amon was father of all the pharaohs.
    Maat, was also another very important goddess. She was thought to symbolize law, order, balance and truth. She was the daughter of Ra.
    Ra was the God of the Sun. At the end of each day, he was thought to go to the Underworld and give his light to the people there.
    Bastest was the cat goddess. She was greatly admired for her agility and strength.
    Hapi was the God of the Nild. He provided food and water for the people. Without him the people would have perished.
    Geb and Nut are two of the oldest gods. They represented the Earth and Sky. Every night they would come together and that would make the darkness. 
    Horus was the Lord of Lower Egypt. Pharaohs were said to be created in his image, and even took on his name.
    Isis was the wife of Osiris. She taught mankind about medicine. She was thought to be the Great Mother Goddess.
    The god Seth was Lord of Upper Egypt and was thought to be the picture of evil. In the tale of Osiris he killed Osiris and threw him into the Nile. In the end he killed by Horus though.
    Thoth was god of The Moon and God Knwoledge. He was the inventor of the written and spoken Egyptian langauge.
