Tutankhamen

King Tutankhamen, also known as King Tut, came into power around the age of eight or nine.  Tutankhamen was in power during the eighteenth dynasty.  The eighteenth dynasty was during the New Kingdom.  Tutankhamen was the youngest king of all the pharaohs.  He was also king during the Amarna period.  During a segment of this period, the traditional values of Egypt were being changed.  When Tutankhamen came into power, he changed all of Egypt's traditional values to their original state.  King Tutankhamnen lived a very short life.  He died in mid January of the year 1343 B.C.  He was buried in The Valley of the Kings.  Many years later, Howard Carter, an archaeologist,  found his tomb.  He found many great things, such as: The Golden Mask of Tutankhamen, the many coffins he was in, and the many gold objects that Tutankhamen owned.
