Narmor

King Narmor was the first king Ancient Egypt had.  Egypt, originally, had two crowns; one for Upper and Lower Egypt.  When Narmor was in power, he united Upper and Lower Egypt.  He combined the crowns, which is now called the double crown.  The bowling pin shaped top part symbolized Upper Egypt, and the chair shaped base symbolized Lower Egypt.  The top was white, and the base was red.  An ancient artifact called the Pallet of Narmor depicted Narmor with only the Upper Egypt crown on one side, and him only with the Lower Egypt crown on the other side.  King Narmor easily deserves a spot on the best Pharaohs list.
