Amun-Ra (also called Ra or Re) had a ram head and wore an ostrich plumed hat.
Amun-Ra's name meant "sun". The Ancient Egyptians thought that every
night Amun Ra was swallowed by the goddess of the sky, Nut, and was reborn
every morning. They also believed that he traveled the underworld at night.
Amun-Ra wa believed to be the ruler of the universe and god of the sun.
He was worshiped in all of Egypt. He was one of the major gods because
he was worshiped by many Egyptian people.
