| Hatshepsut
Hatshepsut was the first woman Pharaoh ever to rule Egypt. She dressed just like any other pharaoh, she even whore a fake beard! She made different temples all over Egypt. Hatshepsut was a great politician, and an awesome stateswoman with a charisma that kept the country under control for 22 years. She claimed to have been handpicked by her father while her two brothers and half brother were not. In her temple are the words of Khnum, the exquisite potter who sculpted the forms of gods. It said: I
will make you to be the first of all living
Later on, her brother, Thutmose III tried to over throw her, but didn't succeed. When Thutmose grew, Hatshepsut's sovereignty grew tenuous. She brought peace to Egypt and died around 1452 B.C. |
