Clothing

In Ancient Egypt, because of the scorching temperatures, the citizens, men and women, wore white linen or transparent robes. The men wore skirts. The younger men's skirts were shorter than older men's. The women of Egypt wore low cut linen dresses with shoulder straps. The children didn't wear any clothes. All Egyptians, rich and poor alike, owned and wore jewelry, such as, necklaces, collars, beaded strings, bracelets, anklets, rings, and earrings. Egyptians owned sandals but went barefoot most often, saving the sandals for special occasions.
