Pyramids

A Pyramid is a geometrical shape called a tetrahedron. The ancient Egyptians built structures similar to this three dimensional shape. The purpose of the structure was to bury their kings called Pharaohs. The Egyptians believed that the pyramid is where the dead king would spend their 4,000 years of rest in the other world of the gods. There were many objects in the pyramid besides the dead body, such as tiny little statues that would rise up and become the kings slaves, gold and riches that they owned when they were alive and other stuff that showed their great power over all Egypt.
