Common Jobs
The most common jobs were fishing, farming, bread making, gold crafting, stone carving, soldiering, and architecture. The least common jobs were cup barer, fanner, scribes, noblemen, and pharaohs.
Food and Drink
The Ancient Egyptians mainly got their food, water, and plants from the
Nile. The ancient Egyptians used plants to eat, make bread, and make barley
beer. An example of plants they ate were garlic, leeks, lettuce, beans,
onions, lotus root, and lotus pods. The common people mainly ate onions,
lotus roots & pods, bread, cakes, raisins, cheese and sometimes fish.
They mainly drank the water from the Nile and barley beer.
