Khepri
Khepri looked like a
man with the head of a scarab. He was the god of creation, movement of
the sun, and reawakening. A scarab lays its eggs in dung, then rolls it
around until they're ready to hatch. When the Egyptians saw this, they
believed the scarabs had come from nowhere, like Khepri, and therefore
were special.
