ALASKA'S TREES

Black Spruce trees can be found in Alaska.  This tree grows 20-60 feet tall.  It's bark can be gray or black in color.  It has evergreen needles.
Balsam Poplars is a tree that can be found in Alaska.  It grows 20-60 feet tall.   It's bark is dark gray and it has dark green leaves that are shinny on top. 
Quaking Aspens can be found in Alaska.  They grow 30-50 feet tall.  This tree has a long narrow trunk with smooth greenish bark.
Mountain Hemlock can be found in Alaska.  This tree can grow 30-100 feet tall.  It's bark is dark brown in color and it's twigs are a light reddish brown in color.
Cottonwood trees can be found in Alaska.  They can grow 60-100 feet tall.  It has pale bark and is in the willow family.
Paper Birch can also be found in Alaska.  It grows 50-75 feet tall.  This tree has white peeling bark and bright green leaves.
The White Spruce is also a tree in Alaska.  It can grow 40-100 feet tall.  It has gray or brown bark that can be smooth or scaly.  It also has evergreen needles.
