Long ago there was an Indian tribe that lived in the Grand Canyon.  It was a perfect location. They had the water they needed and at night they could go hide in a cave.  Then one night the Indians fled to their cave because of a sudden downpour.  They didn't have time to clean up their camp and the coyote came to investigate.  He was looking for food and saw a bone lying on the ground.  He went to see if it had any meat on it.  When he got there he tried to chew on the bone. He choked on the bone and died. When the rest of his family caught up with him and found him dead they were extremely mad. They chased the Indians out of their cave. They chased them all the way out of the Grand Canyon. This is why there are not any Indians living in the Grand Canyon today.
