Angel
Shark
Friends
Hi, my name
is Ace the angel shark and I'm going to tell you about my life. I
live in the Great Barrier Reef located in Queensland, Australia.
I have many friends in the reef but my best friend, Basil the angel shark,
and I are always together. We recently went on an adventure together
to the islands near the reef. With both of us together no one could
hurt us or scare us. We did what we wanted, went where we wanted,
and ate what we wanted. We learned about the many types of plants
on the way to the islands. They had strange names like hard coral,
soft coral, sea anemones, and sponges. We also learned about
fish with really strange names like damselfish, cod, surgeon fish, and
scorpion fish I mean really, what kind of fish would have a name like damselfish
or cod??? Oh well, anyway on the way we met our old friend Sabin
the angel shark. We asked Sabin if he wanted to come with us and
he did. On the way we had to cross trenches. If we weren't
angel sharks that skim the reef floor, trenches wouldn't have been any
trouble. We had trouble crossing them but we made it.
Then when we got to the first island there was no reef. We went to
the second still no reef. We went from island to island until the
last island and finally we found a place that we could actually skim the
reef floor. Ever since then we go to the island that we named Shark
Island (after us) for summer vacation.
