My name is Hannah. I earn a living by being a spinner. I hold the wool in my left hand and spin the wheel with my right hand. After that I twist it into thread as it runs onto the spindle.
I enjoy my work spinning wool. It feels good to help people with the making of their clothes, rugs or blankets. I don’t enjoy standing on my feet all day long. I don’t like doing the same job every day because it is boring.
A few people depend on me like the rug makers, milliners and weavers. I depend on the sheep shearer to get the sheep sheared and the wool carder to clean and straighten the wool.
