Did you know that the NBA has just legalized playing zone defense? Zone defense is when you have zones. Each person has their own area that they have to guard. When a player enters their zone it is their job to play defense on that person. What was originally played in the NBA was man-to-man, which is when each player is assigned to a player on the other team and they guard that person and go everywhere with that person when they are on defense.  The change has been made in hopes that it is more of a team effort. There will be less of the stand around play, where one player from each team has  to stand on one side of the court doing nothing but stand and watch the other people play.  Many disagree and say that this well ruin the game of basketball.
