Funny Stories About the Museum

            Here are some fun stories told by the founders of the Steamboat Arabia Museum.  Two people who participated in the dig wrote books about it, and they were brothers!  Greg Hawley’s kids had an agreement with their father.  If they wanted to watch Saturday morning cartoons, they had to sort some of the buttons that were found on the ship while they watched cartoons.  So many people have given the Steamboat Arabia Museum model steamboats for presents that they have to keep most of them in storage!  None of the people who founded the museum had any idea a year before they began the dig; that they were going to dig up a steamboat or create a museum.
