Maces

There are two types of maces. There are heavy, spiked balls on the end of long chains or large clubs. They were used in battle to inflict heavy blows to your opponent's skull. They were often studded with sharp pieces of metal. They were swung overhead and brought down heavily on the target. They were as effective as a sword because of their weight even though they were harder to wield than a sword. They were not as expensive as a sword and they were easier to make.
