The Florida Panther

The Florida panther is an incredible creature. It is known around our country that this is most likely one of the most beautiful wild cats in America. Yet it has been mowed down by land developers from its original range from the edge of Louisiana to Florida to a couple of small areas in Southern Florida.

The Florida panther is a very mysterious cat and holds many facts about it. Its tawny brown color camouflages well into the swamp with its incredible speed, quiet steps and camouflaging color. That is why it is very well suited to survive in the Everglades.

The Florida panther has a very diverse diet. It consists of boar, rabbit, deer, etc. All of these animals live and thrive in the Florida Everglades.

The Florida panther's main causes of extinction are land development and inbreeding. Both of these can be solved pretty easily. The first reason can be avoided by the government having to issue a permit to use the land on unused land. The second can be solved by releasing other cougars into the area.

This is the information on the Florida panther. This exciting creature is one of the rarest creatures in North America. For more info, visit your local library or the Internet.
