Alligators

Most people think alligators are horrible man eating reptiles, but the truth is only six people have been killed in recorded history. One reason is actually that alligators mostly hunt at night. Unless you are going to go look at alligators at night the chances of you getting killed by an alligator are very slim. Another reason is that during the day when most people are outside any usual alligator is basking in the sun. An alligator uses the suns energy to help digest the food caught the last night. Alligators are incredible creatures. They have survived for 200 million years. They are also the most advanced reptiles living at this time. This amazes me because of their very small brain. Another thing that amazes me are their senses. They can appear to be sound asleep, but are still very alert.
