We, as a team,
are writing this to inform you about us. The members
of our team are Jeremy, Kevin, Kia, Peri, Peter, and
Sam. The people on our team are all fourth graders at
Sherwood
School in Highland
Park, Illinois. This is our first year enrolled in the
Think Quest program.
Jeremy is ten years old and was
born in Skokie, Illinois. He has done the whole part
on ice formations. He also drew a few of the pictures
and scanned them in.
Kevin is ten years old and was
born in Highland Park, Illinois, and still lives there
to this day. He has done the part on water animals and
is an expert on the shark section of that topic. He
hopes to learn more about the sharks through this
informational experience. He is also an artist for our
team.
Kia is ten years old and was
born in Los Angeles, California, but moved to Illinois
when she was two years old. She designed part of this
web site and the home page. She also wrote about
explorers.
Peri is nine years old and was
born in Chicago, Illinois. She has done part of the
discovery of Antarctica, and the timeline of Antarctic
history.
Peter is nine years old and was
born in Highland Park, Illinois, and still lives
there. He did the part on land animals and he also
drew, scanned, and edited most of the
pictures.
Sam is nine years old and was
born in Skokie, Illinois. He moved to Highland Park
when he was two years old. He studied the land and
climate section and also was the director of the
graphics part. That means he drew and scanned some of
the pictures and organized who was drawing what
pictures.
We all worked together on this
project with team effort. It was one of the hardest
jobs we think we've ever done. We thank any people who
helped us with this project. That includes our
coaches, Mr. Shaw, Mrs. Duffy, and Mrs. Neumann. We
also thank Mrs. Helene Stone for the photos she took
of Antarctica that she kindly shared with us.
