Kyokushin Karate Principle Kyokushin karate-ka
believes this contact is necessary in order to fully appreciate the resiliency
of the human body and spirit and to prepare for any serious confrontation.
History Kyokushin(kai) Karate was created by Sosai Masutatsu Oyama in 1955. It is a style of Karate that mainly focuses on strenuous physical training, though it also includes techniques of self-defense, and weapons employment. What distinguishes Kyokushin Karate from the traditional styles of Karate is its lack of reliability on simple linear movements, and utilization of circular movements as a means of executing better attacks. Kyokushin Karate is also unique by its requirement of strenuous physical training and conditioning. It ties in realistic fighting situations, and realistic contact while sparring.
