Japan and Denver How did Japanese
people come to live in Denver? During World War II the Japanese-Americans were put in containment camps. Governor Ralph L. Carr invited them to come and live in Colorado and the other places in the western United States. "They are loyal Americans," the respected governor once said, "Sharing only race with the enemy."
