In World War II the Japanese swiftly conquered their enemies in the war. They defeated the Philippines, Malaysia, Burma (Myanmar), The Netherlands, The East Indies (Indonesia). The Japanese surrendered to the allied forces almost immediately after the dropping of the Nagasaki Atomic-Bomb. The surrender occurred in the treaty of Potsdam. The treaty called for an unconditional surrender and after its signing, American troops were soon in Japan. Japan is now the second most profiting nation from trade and exports. |
