The hall in Todaiji Temple is best known for the Daibutsu (Great Buddha) that is houses. The hall that is home to the Dibutsu is the largest wooden structure in the world.

The Great Buddha itself is one of the largest and hundreds of tons of materials were used in its collosal construction.
