Anime (ANN-ih-may) is a name for Japanese animation. It is a style that is very different from American animation. The faces are differently drawn and the eyes show much more emotion than the eyes of American animated characters. One way that anime can be distinguished is by the facial features- big eyes, small mouth, and a small, pointed nose.
