Welcome to the Drafting home page. This is a web page designed to help people understand the concepts of drafting and learn how to draw different objects by hand and by AutoCAD.
The links in the navigation bar on the right will take you to the various places where you can be taught some of the basic drawing techniques. Mainly, the oblique, isometric, and three-View links will take you to step by step tutorials. Visit the three-view page first because the isometrics and obliques can be drawn easier once you have an understanding of how the three-view drawing works. The quizzes page has links to quizzes that you can use to test yourself once you have visited the definitions page. The downloads page has examples of the advanced drawings you can do with AutoCAD. Paul has included the AutoCAD files of his own home project. The links page has links to buy the full version of AutoCAD or to get the trial version for your evaluation and other pages that can help you understand drafting or AutoCAD better.
Note: For the quizzes and downloads to work right, you will need at least Internet Explorer 5x or Netscape 6x. To download the files, you need to right click on the link and select save target as.
