About 1000 years ago , there were people living in Valley View, Ohio.   We know that because they left mounds. The two mounds that we visited are the Gleason and the Soldat Mounds. Also a Native American Trail which began where present day Pittsburgh is and runs by the Soldat Mound is said to have gone all the way to a fort by present day Detroit. An example of the way Mounds were build can be seen at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History (about 4 miles east of St. Francis School). If not pleased, check out the web for more information.
