How We Can Help

Education

Education and conservation go hand-in-hand. If more people went to zoos and other animal parks where penguins are being cared for, they would learn about penguins, their problems, and what threats man has on penguins. Pollution, oil spills, and over-fishing are all problems penguins have as a result of human civilization. We need to find ways to help penguins get off the endangered list.

Television and radio could be used to "reach out" and touch the citizens of the world. Education is another way of helping people get the idea that penguins need our help. These messages would tell the world what cruel fate is befalling the penguins.

Newspapers and mass mailings could reach thousands of people daily. People would wake up, get the  paper and read an article on the poor penguins. Hopefully, they would be inspired to help penguins. In the afternoons, people would get the mail and receive a package of papers asking if they would adopt a penguin and help keep it alive.

The Internet is another invaluable resource which could tell of the plight of the penguins. Many sites have been built and dedicated to the rescue and preservation of penguins.
