Racing In 2001
Dale Earnhardt:
The worst thing that has happened in racing history happened in 2001, and it was the death of Dale Earnhardt. Dale Earnhardt was one of the best racers in 2001,
On February 15, 2001, in the Daytona 500, Dale had a car accident. He was in the last lap while he was helping two of the other racers in his other cars. One of the cars was driven by his son Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the other was driven by Micheal Waltrip. Both finished first and second.
Dale was only 49 when he died and it didn't only put a shock over his friends and family, it put a shock over the United States, and it's still felt today. People just couldn't believe that this legendary racer, Dale Earnhardt, was gone.
