On September 11, 2001 something very dramatic happened. Some stores that wanted to remember the September 11 bombing donated millions of dollars. They included: POLO Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Donna Kaaren, Nicole Miller, Stuart Weitzman Dole & Gabon, RobertoCavalli, Bareness, Asks Fifth Avenue, Henry Bendel, L'Occitane, Sue Devitt Studio, Zia Natural Skincare, Phat Farm, and Pierre Michel salon.

The bombing changed the way that people acted toward others as well as the fashion. During fall 2001,which was right after the "Attack on America", people started to express more pride in their country. Everyone was much more patriotic. People went out and bought Bumper stickers, American flags, pens, and even patriotic clothes.You would be able to see a variety of people walking down the street with shirts having the U.S.A. Iogo on them, the American flag, or Lady Liberty. These were found across America on everyone. People expressed their feelings, sorrow and pride, through fashion.
