The air force is the part of the armed forces that operates in the air. An air force consists of aircrafts, specialized equipment and military basses. Advanced airforcs have spacecraft and guided weapons.

Most countries air forces are branches the military by themselves. But in other nations the air force is part of the army or the navy.

The Russian have the largest air force followed by the United States. Russia launches satellites a photograph military activities in other nations.

Before airplanes people depended on the army a navy, for protection. But at that time the sky was beyond the limit. Still the army and the navy are still important, but aerial attacks are more powerful. Basically all the air force is part of the military operates in the air.

The air forces most used and most known weapon is the airplane. The airplane war first used t for war in WWI when the air force originated . Back then planes had hardly had guns and hydrogen peroxide fueled some planes.. As you can see , we have grown since that time. Now we have jet planes and advanced technology such as stealth. This brings me to two planes, which are not commonly heard of, but are the most advanced piece of air force equipment. The two planes I’m talking about are the Stealth Fighter and the SR-71 Blackbird. The Stealth Fighter is one of the most advanced planes. The word stealth means, undetectable by radar. Using top-secret stealth technology. That means the Stealth Fighter con quietly patrol the sky with being caught on radar. The other magnificent plane is the SR –71 Blackbird. The SR-71 Blackbird is literally the fastest plane in the world. This plane has a top speed of over mach eight. Also the air force uses chemical warfare.

The air force has served in all the wars since WWI. And now, our boys are flying over Afghanistan and fighting the good fight.
