What's wrong here?
1. Be consistent. Spell people's names the same way; spell or misspell a word the same way every time. Inconsistency gives proof that you have spelled something wrong at least once.
2. Watch out for silent letters-they can be part of the trickiest words to spell.
3. "I before E, except after C, and when sounding like A as in neighbor and weigh."
4. Make sure that you use the correct word and word form. Be especially careful when making plurals and when using words like their/they're/there and too/to/two.
5. Do not exaggerate words. People already know what "loooooong," "tall," and "tiny" mean. If they do not, let them look the words up.

Corrected paragraph:

One day, John went to the store to buy apples and peaches. However, he was surprised to find that there wasn't any left. Insted, John went to the convenience store, where there were many different fruits. He bought seven peaches, which were his favorites. John remembered when his neighbor gave him his first peach; he was told that anceint Indian chiefs used to eat them a long time ago.

Hint: Don't rely on spell check
Although spell checkers are excellent resources to check for typos and common misspellings, they do not find words that sound the same or grammar mistakes. Take the time to check for these errors yourself.
