There are various forms of treatements for Alzheimer's, but still, there is no cure. A new vaccine was created to prevent Alzheimer's disease, it has only been tested on rats, and has yet to be tested on humans. Another form of treatment is calleda shunt. As people become older, the spinal fluid flows slower, and because of this, it becomes toxic as well. Increasing the flow will cause these toxic substances to wash away, the shunt does exactly this. It has been proved that those who have the shunt have a far better improvement within a year than those with Alzheimer's disease and have not had the shunt. There are also medications to slow down the progression of Alzheimer's, but these medications do not completely stop the Alzheimer's disease. Therapies are done, but have not been proven successful. Medications and medical advancement is the only way currently, to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
