![]() ![]() Depression is an illness that has to do with your whole body. It affects the way a person feels about things, the way people eat; the way people sleep, and feel about themselves. Depression is mental illness that cannot be blown away you have to get treated. If it is not treated it becomes a more severe depression disorder such as, bipolar depression. If people think they have depression they should call a psychologist and then can decide if the patient is just stressed or if the patient has depression. When a person has depression they can have problems concentrating, decision making, and difficulty with short-term memory. They can have negative thoughts all the time, poor self-esteem, excessive guilt, and self-criticism. They could also fell sad for no reason and cry with no reasons. They might lack motivation, tired all the time, difficulty controlling their own temper, and irritability. They could even be eating more or less, notice they complain about everything, and act out with anger. Sometimes they might neglect simple hygiene, feel very tired or can’t sleep, can’t sit still, and sometimes neglect personal appearance or not want to do any work at all. If anyone feels like any the above symptoms they might be depressed they should go see a psychologist. If depression is not treated and gets worse it can develop into many different mental illnesses that are more severe. Depression can be diagnosed in all ages. The age group with the most diagnosed depression is the women or if you break it down more, the women teens are most vulnerable to depression. ![]() |
