Five sixth grade students make up our team. We all attend Diamond
Elementary School in Ft. Stewart, GA. All of our fathers are in
the United States Military. The reason we became interested
in making a web site on Japan was because that is one of the duty stations. Any of us could end up living there.
In order to make
our website, we used the following programs: Microsoft Publisher,
FrontPage, PowerPoint, Paint, Word, Netscape Communicator, Photo Editor,
Real Player, and Kid Pix. We also used the digital camera to make
our mpeg movies and to take still pictures. To do our research, we used the
Internet, the books in our media center, and a few of Mrs. Royle's
books. All of our artwork is original. We made the illustrations
using Kid Pix, because we found that it was fairly simple to create our
own graphics using technology.
Our group would like
for people to use our website to gather information about Japan and be
able to recreate the arts we have made. Being able to make
something of your own helps make learning fun.
